1971 Ford F250 4x4 "Highboy"

Very hard to find 1971 Ford F250 factory "Highboy" 4x4.  This Highboy was one family owned, and was claimed to only have 85k miles on it.  It has a nice running 390 with an Edelbrock 4bbl.   It has a nice shifting 4 speed with a smooth clutch, and 4:10 axles with a limited slip rear-end.  This one isn't 100% rustfree, but you probably wont find a 67 - 72 that is.  I call this 4x4 at least 95% rustfree.  The drivers floor pan is rusted, as are the bottoms of both front fenders.  Also the front cab mounts are showing some.  Other than that there are a couple other minor spots, and surface type rust from normal use, and being an all 45 year old classics 4x4.

This truck has old school bias all traction tires all the way around and are flat spotted from sitting.  As with bias tires the more you drive the "rounder" they get.  Bottom line, she needs a nice set of 33" radials.  The 4x4 system works just fine, and it has the heavy duty "Selectro" brand all metal locking hubs.  The interior is pretty clean, and original.  It even has the stock radio still in it.  All the gauges work, and the heat and defrost work.  The blinkers work, as do all the outside lights including the reverse lights.  The wipers also work.

This is actually a pretty decent first gen. Highboy.  I have only had a couple 67 - 72 F250 4x4's.  They are very sought after and I get a lot of calls for them, but I just can't find decent ones very often.  This one isn't perfect, but I priced it accordingly.  Mechanically, other than tires you wont find a better driver.
