This is a one of a kind 1996 GMC
K2500 Suburban "SLT". It is a clean, unabused original 100%
rust-free survivor. This was the top-of-the-line in 1996. We have been
getting more and more requests for these newer Suburbans. My
customers really like the clean low mile units like this one. This
is a one owner, no-smoker Suburban with only 137k miles. It is
about impossible to find these heavy duty Suburbans with this low of
miles. The popularity is three fold. First they are a
reliable, strong heavy duty people haulers that can do some real work.
Secondly, they are still pretty basic
as for as working on them goes. Finally, they have most of
the comforts of the newer Suburbans. 1996 was a good year for the
Suburbans. They got the Vortec engines, and the most up to date
interior of the 92 - 99 era Suburbans. I love Square Body
Suburbans, but this next generation, especially the 96-99 units, are
superior in almost every regard. More power, better fuel economy,
higher towing capacity, safer, and more comfortable.
This one features a very straight,
original paint, 100% rust-free body from California. Again, this is a fully loaded "SLT",
and looks to have most every option offered in 1996. It features
the desirable, and powerful fuel injected "Vortec" 454, a just rebuilt with receipt and warranty HD
4L80E overdrive automatic, cold front & rear A/C, ABS, PW, PDL, tilt, cruise, rear defroster, overhead & floor consoles,
nice sounding factory AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo, class III trailer hitch, factory
running boards, etc. It also has
the preferred rear barn doors, working push button 4x4, and keyless
entry.
It has the factory rally wheels, with
nice OE sized 245x75x16 tires. Mechanically, it needs nothing, the
brakes are nice, the suspension is tight, and the exhaust is sound.
It has 4.10 gears, with a limited slip "Posi" rear. This
suburban is set up for towing, with the 4.10 gears, and a true full
floater rear axle.
The interior is all original, and
in excellent condition. It has nice grey leather heated, power bucket
seats. It has two rear bench seats, so it sits a
total of 8 passengers. The carpet and headliner are in excellent
condition. The carpet has some light soiling, but has all of its
factory floor mats.
Overall this is a strong running,
nice
looking, and excellent driving heavy duty 4x4 Suburban, that is ready to be put into
service. This one sure beats paying $90k for a new one.
I wouldn't be afraid to hop in and drive it cross country. This is
the as nice of a Suburban that I have ever had. |
