The smaller
SUV's have started to gain some traction in the classic 4x4 market.
We have had good success with the small Bronco II's, S10 Blazers, and
Jeep Cherokees.
This is our first foray in the Jeep Grand Cherokee "ZJ" market.
Bottom line, it is hard to find clean survivor classic Jeeps. This
an immaculate 1 owner 1996 Grand Cherokee "Laredo" edition. It is
beautiful in every regard. The best part it only has 158k actual
miles.
This Grand Cherokee features
excellent original paint on a perfectly straight 100% Rustfree California body.
It is the fully loaded Laredo model. Starting with the bullet
proof 4.0 inline 6 cylinder, overdrive automatic, and preferred manual floor
shifted 4x4 system with neutral, so it can be flat towed be hind a motor
home. Other options include: Tilt, Cruise, PW, PDL, Power mirrors,
Cold A/C, full gauges with tachometer, and rear wiper, etc. It
also has a mint set of the factory "Five Spoke" alloys with new 215/75/15 All
Terrain tires.
The interior is very clean, and
hasn't been smoked in It has comfortable bucket seats with power
controls on both seats, and a center console with floor shift. We
installed a new headliner. It has the premium "Infinity Gold"
CD/Cassette/AM/FM sound system. We replaced all 4 speakers.
Everything works as it should, and there are no warning lights on the
dash,
The 4.0 engines are real
powerhouses. I was surprised. I have driven a number 4.3 S10
Blazers over the years, and this Jeep would run circles around them.
Plus the Grand Cherokee's still have solid front axles, so they are very
strong and capable off road, with good ground clearance. It has a
class III receiver style hitch also.
As mentioned this is our first
Jeep "Grand Cherokee". The Jeep Cherokee we had sold immediately.
As I tend to say, If you have been watching
and waiting for something like this, don't drag your feet on it.
You just don't find these Jeeps this clean anymore. I wouldn't
hesitate to drive it cross country, |
